The USS Constitution
The USS Constitution was among six frigates commissioned by the Naval Act of 1794. It is presently called "The only living veteran of the War of 1812" by its present Commander, William Bullard. Included here are three links to information about the ship itself, and a wonderful Boston Globe article with video about the "return to the glory of 1812" that the ship is presently undergoing.
At the end of the War of 1812, the Niles Weekly Register, published in Baltimore, did a summary of all the American ships in the War of 1812. They listed the tonnage of the ship, the commanding officer, the number of killed and wounded, and more, including the previous volumes that provided the details of each battle.
